ACFIS, (branch of the Italian Chemical Industry Federation, FEDERCHIMICA), is the Association of companies which produce intermediate and fine chemical products, additives and auxiliaries for the industry, pigments and organic dyestuffs. This area, one of the most important in the Italian chemical-pharmaceutical industry, represents about 10% of the chemical sector and over 20% of the downstream chemical industry. The multiple needs of the final market require a high level of specialization, a strong capacity of innovation and a suitable flexibility. Thus, the fine and specialized chemical industry takes particular care in research and technology development, obtaining innovative results with respect to traditional production methods generally adopted by chemical industry system.
