Cognis Kimya A.S. is the Cognis affiliate in Turkey. Cognis, the previous chemical business unit of Henkel, has been active in Turkey since 1963. Today, Cognis is a worldwide leading supplier of innovative specialty chemical solutions.
Cognis Kimya A.S. was founded in 1963. It is located in Cayirova, Gebze on an 80,000 square meter premises. Cognis serves to a wide range of industrial markets, such as care chemicals, nutrition and health, coatings, inks and lubricants with high quality specialty chemical solutions. At the Cayirova/Gebze site Cognis has its research and development department as well as quality control laboratories, waste water plant, production, depots and warehousing, distribution, marketing and all administrative functions. The textiles and leather business now are part of Pulcra Chemicals, established in July 2007. In Turkey Pulcra Chemicals is represented by Pulcra Kimya A.S
