The Castro Marques Group (CMG) is one of the leading pharmaceutical organizations in Brazil, operating through its two companies: União Química Farmacêutica Nacional and Biolab Sanus Farmacêutica. Biolab Sanus was founded in 1997 and operates exclusively in the prescription drugs segment, focusing on five areas: Cardiology, Gynecology, General Medicine, Pediatrics, and Dermatology. In 2002, two other companies were acquired by CMG under the Biolab Sanus company: Hormogen, a biotechnology company and Dalmatia, a cosmeceutical company. The Castro Marques Group has 2.400 employees and one of the largest operations in Brazil spread across three manufacturing plants.
