CJ Corp. launched its pharmaceutical business beginning of 1980 by developing Hepatitis B vaccine. In 1990, CJ broke into a new field by completing development of 7-ACA, an intermediate for synthesizing oral and injectable cephalosporins. Since then the company has grown into a global-class producer of synthetic and fermentation based cephalosporin antibiotics. Currently the company expanded its business of biotech products, such as recombinant Erythropoietin, G-CSF and Interferon- alfa, beta to provide innovation and inspiration. CJ is becoming more important major partner and frontier for fine-chemicals and biopharmaceuticals vendors.
